The reason TdVC was popular, I suspect, is that so many people had not heard the conspiracies and legends he used. (I'm basing this on how almost everyone who's tried to defend it to me did so by talking about these theories Brown supposedly came up with.) It was like a shitty high-school report on these stories that some kid thought would be cute to make into a detective novel. If you're familiar with the stuff he brings up (and I'm not afraid to admit I love reading about that stuff, and some of the guys, John Keel and Graham Hancock in particular, are excellent writers--but don't think that means I believe a word of it), then you're left with the weak detective story that's not written very well.

Very interesting. So do you think it will happen on the tv show this week or next?

If by 'it' you mean 'IT', I was assuming that was going to be the Season Three finale. A gigantic punch to the gut AND to the nuts for unsuspecting viewers.
I haven't seen any of Seasons 2 or 3 yet.

That will be the season 3 finale is what I'm assuming as well.
I'm a bit behind on this season. I've been acquiring and watching via a friend ( :arrr: ) on Mondays, but have fallen behind on the watching part.

If the "it" Jim was referring to was the preceding Hodor page post, then I still hope so.

It will likely be the finale, but it could also be tomorrow night with one episode of fallout to set up for next season.

A fallout episode would make the finale so anti-climactic.

I'm giddy to hear from my friend in CA. He's never read the books. I look forward to his tears. His delicious, anguished, salty tears.

I haven't seen the most recent episode and don't know exactly what's going to happen, though by the way everyone online is guardedly talking about how much they're freaking out I know it's something BIG I know it's the Red Wedding, but I don't know what that involves other than, apparently, a lot of death, but it sounds like they followed the same template from the first two seasons - a big shocking event happens in the ninth episode, and the fallout occurs in the tenth.
Shit. I can't think of a good signature.

There are two types of Game of Thrones fans; those that read the books and had time to prepare. And those who did not.

SPOILERS, obviously. Don't click unless you've read the book and/or seen the episode.

After about the fourth tweet, I was laughing. But then, I'm a mean spirited person who delights in others misery.

And here's some video reactions of people who HADNT read the books watching the episode.
Presumably filmed by people who HAD read the books. Classic. 8)
Again...SPOILERS.
