I'm going to ask the same price for books that have been professionally determined to be significantly different from each other in terms of quality. Makes sense.

2.5 sounds like someone drove over the issue with a dirt bike after they wiped their ass with it.
I can see an older golden age book being that rugged. But by the 70s people who were actually keeping their comics and collecting them were also keeping them in decent condition. Otherwise they’d be in landfills.

Having the value stamp cut out would knock it way down if the buyer asked for a blue standard label instead of the weird "qualified" label (which gives the book it's score IF the flaw didn't exist, BUT the flaw is marked clearly on the label for the world to see, and it's a different color so no one misses it).

If they were both 4.5 & one was missing the stamp, that might do it.

EDITED: and disregard - the first issue of ASM with a stamp is 130. So it's not the stamp.

The 2.5 looked like it sat at the bottom of an old box in someone's basement for 25 years after the kid that bought it read it repeatedly for 15 years before that and stored it in a random pile of stuff. Every edge was beat to shit, but there were no obvious signs of tears or destruction and the spine appeared to be intact.

It was in the type of condition I always assumed I'd be able to afford if I ever got one (ungraded).

Once the guy said $425 each, it was immediately clear he was an idiot and there'd be no way to talk him down.

Moon Girl (2 left)
Iron Man (3 left)
Thanos (not sure if I have any left, this might be it)
Jessica Jones (1 left)
PPSM 300 (0 left)
Black Panther 170 (and again, this might be it as it's restarting at 1 again like Avengers after only 3-4 Legacy numbered issues)

Action 998 (2 left)
Detective 975 (not sure how long I'm carrying this)

The last 2 weeks and a few Star Wars I was missing.

Piggy-backing off Jim, what I got and how many left for me.

Batman 41 and Detective 975 - Just waiting for the wedding.
Daredevil 599 - One more
Deadpool 295 - Five more
Jessica Jones 17 - One more. Missing more than I'd like - need 7,10,11,12,16
Lazarus Sourcebook 3 - Missing 2. Completely unnecessary, but impressive thought into the world-building f the series.
Punisher Platoon 6 - Done. I already miss Ennis on Punisher.
Dr, Aphra 17 - Should drop. Maybe at 20 or 25.
Darth Vader 12 - Missing 4,5,11
Darth Maul 5 - Missing 3
Poe Dameron 17,18 - I was missing both.

Fucking sold out here too. I'm not happy. Typically i'm at the LCS on Wednesday at opening when ASM is coming out - of course we were tied up at work for the first appearance of Red Goblin. Fuck.

And from what I hear, he’s not even really in it.
I don’t understand why Norman Osborn as Carnage is worthy of speculators time and money.

It's not. And I'm not paying either. I'll get it later for cover price or less or I won't. Very bothersome to bone my run with 5 issues to go. :(

EDITED: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAnd I'm weak. I ebayed two copies for just over cover price with cheap shipping. I will auction the second one off on a facebook group & come out either just ahead or with my copy in hand for cover price. Stupid fucking comics.

EP, I can also hold off & we can work something out - no idea at what point shipping one new comic becomes worth it, but if you get itchy enough for it let me know and we can do that.

Shipping from Canada? Eeeeesh... I don’t know if plugging the hole in my collection is worth that.

Let me think about it.

Also afraid gonna go thru the same bullshit on the next couple issues.

I'm putting it on my pull list ending at 801. Not going through that again.

Sweet Jaesus, for someone who’s “scaling back” apparently means dropping damn near $70 on new books this week.

But, Saga hit issue 50, GIJOE hit issue 250, and Daredevil makes it to 600.

DD600 (done) - putting off reading it. Weird to think of being done with DD. I'll get there today.
Black Panther 171 (done? might need one more) - haven't read it yet, but yes 172 will be the end of this story so I need one more.
Jessica Jones 18 (done) - nice ending & a nice letter from Bendis.
Moon Girl 29 (one more) - I have enjoyed this. Looking forward to seeing the finale next month.
Iron Man 598 (or is it 599? Either way nearly done) - 2 more issues to go, they are really dragging out this arc to get to 600.

Batman 42 & 43 - the artist on this Poison Ivy story is maybe the best I've seen in ages. Michel Janin I think their name is - wow.

Action 999 - not bad, one more to go. Superman has second thoughts about using whatever DC calls their negative zone as a prison & lets out Cyborg Superman.

Superman 42 & 43, Detective 976 & 977 - will get there today as well.
