Re: Arkham Asylum/Arkham City
I don't even think DC is "up to date" on Batman anymore.
But in the previous pre-New52 universe, Bruce, Alfred, Dick, Barbara, Tim, Cassie, and to an extent Steph, were all close with each other and knew each others secret IDs. They were very much like a family with Bruce as the father and everyone else siblings. I also think most of the original Teen Titans and New Teen Titans(Cyborg, Raven, Starfire etc) were in the loop because Dick had revealed his identity to them. And then most of the JLA Big Guns knew Bruce's secret. And Oracle at that point was everybody's Tech Guru who could access any computer or security footage as needed deus ex machina style. And when I say everybody, I mean everybody from Flash to Guy Gardner to Booster Gold had Oracle on speed dial.

Re: Arkham Asylum/Arkham City
Barbara Gordon was a shitty, derivative character as Batgirl.
She was fucking awesome as Oracle.
So, logically, they made her Batgirl again and didn't even bother to explain how she not only regained the ability to walk, but fight crime.

Re: Arkham Asylum/Arkham City
Finally had the time to finish Arkham Asylum. The battle with the Joker at the end was kind of weak.
After I finished, I realized I missed most of the Spirit or Arkham (or whatever those stone blocks were with the beatle on it).

The 'Spirit of Arkham' sidequest kinda sets up the Events of the sequel. Or at least the backstory at the beginning of the game.
I agree, the Joker fight finale is kinda weak. The toughest fight for me was the Poison Ivy fight.

Got Arkham City and started playing it. Doesn't seem too much different that the first one so far.

Which Beatle was it? John, Paul, George, or Ringo? Or did they alternate Beatles?Ran wrote: After I finished, I realized I missed most of the Spirit or Arkham (or whatever those stone blocks were with the beatle on it).

Re: Arkham Asylum/Arkham City
There were three altogether. One had Stu Sutcliffe, one was Pete Best, and the final one was Clarence Walker.

Re: Arkham Asylum/Arkham City
Finished story mode and most of the side missions. Just in time, too because Santa is bringing me a couple new games.
Seems like an awful lot of villains came to be because they were pissed at either Batman or Bruce Wayne.

Re: Arkham Asylum/Arkham City
They announced a third Arkham game; Arkham Origins. It's a prequel set before all the crazies in Gotham showed up.
Except Rocksteady Games isn't developing it. Strike One.
And Paul Dini isn't writing it. Strike Two.
There's still hope it might be decent, but why would you actively disregard the two elements of the series that gave you two monstrously succesful games in the first place? And instead hand it off to your own in house game developers. Has anyone ever crowed "Oh hey check out this awesome WB Interactive game!"
Definitely tepid news.

Re: Arkham Asylum/Arkham City
Apparently, eight of the worlds deadliest assassins (including Deathstroke!) show up in Gotham to kill Bats. And it's early in Bats career so he'll by clumsy at first or whatever and then progress skillswise as the game progresses.
Which begs the question. If Bats is just starting out, how and why would all the world's top assassins know to come gunning for him?
I am apprehensive to say the least.

Re: Arkham Asylum/Arkham City
Anyone play Arkham City for Wii (or Wii U)?
I guess the company that ported that game developed this new one.
I'm not very excited and I'll wait for the reviews to hit before even thinking about picking it up.

I wish you could play AS Deathstroke.

Okay, even I'll admit that's a badass trailer.

Re: Arkham Asylum/Arkham City
Yes it is. But there's no gameplay, just one really badass cinematic.
I'd love to see an animated feature done like this.
