Yeah. DC Direct is too rich for my blood. Which is a damn shame since they've had some sweet ass figgies over the years.

The Modern Justice Leaguers coming out soon as well as the Hush Batman figs look killer. i may break down and get Bats and Hush...

LCS had a clearance sale this week with figures going for $5 each. I got
Amazo and Dr. Impossible from the new JLA Wave,
Jason Rusch Firestorm from Infinite Crisis
Ryan Choi Atom from the F.A. Wave
Kingdom Come Superman from the Re-Activated Wave
Robin and Damian from the Kubert Batman Wave
Adam Strange from the old JLA Wave 2.

Which brings my total DC Direct list up to 75 figures.

I have all the Blackest Night waves except the 2nd one. You'd think i would choose to collect either this line or DCUC, but since Hasbro isn't putting out any decent GIJoe, Transformers, or Marvel stuff, I can afford to do both.

Hasbro's putting out some fucking awesome GIJoe stuff. Trouble is, it's based on a shitty movie. But, really, the figures are amazing. I've picked up quite a few, mostly to use as custom fodder, and a few to mix in with my 25th Anniversary figures.

I've still got to paint her, but 25th Lady Jaye (torso, upper legs), ROC armored Scarlett (lower legs), Indiana Jones (coat, arms), Agent Helix (hands and head, minus hair), and POC Baroness (hair) make one fucking beautiful Cover Girl. I've got a Cool Breeze mostly made of parts from the ROC Ripcord, Shockwave, and Flash, too.

I fail at customizing. My idea of advanced customizing is taking the glasses from Professor Hulk and the variant head from WWII Captain America Marvel Legend, putting them on the the SHIELD Agent body and calling it Agent Jasper Sitwell...

I thought this way, too, and tried with little success to make some Star Wars figures (simple headswaps were all I could pull off, be it Qui-Gon in Slave Gear or an Asian Rebel Endor Trooper). The construction of GIJoes makes them a bit more receptive to customizing, though.

While in San Diego, I got Blackest Night Martian Manhunter, BN John Stewart, JSA Stargirl and Cyclone, and Justice Batgirl.

At this point I've lost count of how many figures I have of the line I said I'd never collect.
