Well, this is certainly unexpected....

uh, y'know, the sounds that sound good together... sometimes... and sometimes sounds like the disgusting "squish squish" sound Slicker's mom makes whenever she walks

Lou Reed and Metallica: Lulu

The album comes out in November. No sound clips yet, but this sounds like it could either be really amazing or unspeakably shitty.

Sounds gayer than the one they did with the symphony.

Which was surprisingly good. (Of course, the Scorpions' album with a symphony orchestra was better, since their music is more "symphonic" and it was less "violins playing the thrashing guitar parts.")

Lou Reed is pretty awesome, even if I don't know any of his output since the 70s. I understand he's been less into music and more into cow-tipping. ;)

I'd give them five more albums (one massive live boxed set, two studio albums, a collection of covers with some new covers, and the live album with the orchestra). I know I'm one of the few people alive who likes Load and ReLoad. St. Anger sucks so much ass they had to credit Stephen Hawking with developing new ways to suck ass.

I've owned the black album since it came out. I don't think I've listened to it since 1995. It was so overplayed I got sick of it.

Some time ago, Mabs and I were chatting. We were talking about music and I ended up listening to something from Metallica from Justice or before. I forgot how much I actually liked their old stuff.

Totally overplayed but there was still some good stuff there.

I heard "Sad but True" on the radio the other day and was loving it. Not going to pop in the disc or anything, but it rocked.

Completely off topic, yet certainly unexpected...

AXSTV was playing a recent Sheryl Crow concert. As expected, they panned the crowd with plenty of middle age white people. Except for one black guy who was front row center. This dude was rocking out, dancing, and clapping his hands through the entire part of the show that I saw.

The other funny part was when she started one of her hits. There was lazy "yeah" from the crowd that was similar to the "yeah" in the Cantina scene of ANH.
