Re: Semi-Dayley dose of METAL
Holy fucking shit! I've never thought of it before, but I need to check and see if there's a live Sabbath album from the Dio years that has him doing Ozzy numbers.
Or I'll just post here and let mabs answer from memory.

Re: Semi-Dayley dose of METAL
From what I can tell, there are a few. Each has a mix of Dio singing pre and post Ozzy Sabbath songs.
Disc 2 of the deluxe edition of Born Again. http://www.amazon.com/Born-Again-Black- ... 710&sr=8-1
Live Evil http://www.amazon.com/Live-Deluxe-Editi ... 710&sr=8-2
Live at Hammersmith Odeon http://www.amazon.com/Live-Hammersmith- ... 000&sr=1-1
Found the info on wikipedia. There is a the list of live albums: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Sabbath_discography

Pantera's new video for "PISS," the lost track from the VULGAR DISPLAY OF POWER sessions. It is being released on the 20th anniversary cd/dvd version of the album.

Re: Semi-Dayley dose of METAL
Wonder why that didn't show up as a b-side at some point?
VDOP is my favorite Pantera album, and this would fit pretty well, but I can kinda see why it didn't make the cut. The riff at the beginning is really similar to "Cowboys From Hell."

The only bands on that list I've heard of were Lamb of God and Deftones, and I'm not really into either of them.

I downloaded it--I figure it won't hurt to discover someone, if anyone's any good.

New Alice in Chains. The album is supposed to be out early 2013.

I clicked on that video, half-scoffing in my mind already.
It was far more solid than I expected. Maybe not Soundgarden 2012 good, but quite .

Re: Semi-Dayley dose of METAL
This song by Doro is a tribute to Dio. I never heard of her until a year or two ago, but she is a German metal chick that has been around since the 80s.
She rhymes "hero" with "hero" quite a bit.

I forgot that came out this week. Black Gives Way to Blue was pretty good, too. It won Album of the Year at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards.
