Oh man, likely a finalist for the all-time NHL team at the goalie position. Innovative, roaming goalie (for his time period), credited with bringing the poke check technique into the goalie's repertoire. RIP Johnny. :(

Alfie Curtis.

"Who?" you ask.

The name may not ring a bell, as he wasn't really a household name, but he played an important part I'm one of the greatest films ever made, a role I'm sure is dear to all of us.

Seems appropriate that I saw the news of this on Mark Hamill's twitter feed.

Jerry Van Dyke, younger brother of Dick at 86.
He was mostly remembered from nine seasons of the Craig T Nelson Sitcom Coach.

On New Year's Eve, the local news played a tribute to all the celebrity deaths of 2017. Can't remember who was in there now, but there were several people I either didn't know died, or just plain forgot.

I had no idea that guy was Dick Van Dyke's brother. I didn't watch Coach that much, but that is the only place I recognized him from.

Porn Stars are the new WWF Wrestlers from the 80s & 90s. Now Olivia Nova is gone (I didn't "know" her or her work), but look at this passage from the article:

Her sudden passing follows the deaths of three other porn stars, including August Ames, Yuri Luv and Shyla Stylez.

Sad day. Shyla was a naughty, naughty girl. And curvy.

I saw that. The article I saw mentioned a fifth recent death, although I forget who right now.

Edit: Nevermind. Can't find it. Maybe i just don't know how to read.

Dolores O'Riordan of the cranberries.

Doesn’t sound like it was from disease or natural causes either. That’s a shame.

I think I saw them live, opening for Depeche Mode. It was underwhelming at the time, but they did have a couple of good radio-worthy hits, and they did play well on SNL.

EDITED: Nope, must have been a different concert. Amazing what you can find on the internet.
