I wonder if Hef even knows he died. He practically live in heaven already with gorgeous naked women everywhere all day.
Today is probably just another Thursday for him.

Monty Hall has made his last deal. 96 is a good run though.

Re: Celebrity Death Pool!
Just broke that he isn't dead, and the news was premature.
But it seems it's highly unlikely that he'll survive today. Which means everyone gets to suffer through one of their favorites dting twice today!

Comedian Ralphie May died of a heart attack at age 45.
You might've known him better as...who?
I only bring it up because 45...is us. Most of us are near or at that mark. Stay healthy, bros.

We have 5 years left of "gone too soon" according to Louis CK. After 50 no one gives a fuck any more.

John Dunsworth, AKA Jim Lahey of our beloved Trailer Park Boys, had died at age 71 after "a brief and unexpected illness."
I wonder if this is the end of TPB?

Re: Celebrity Death Pool!
A Canadian one-two punch this week. First Mr. Lahey and now Gord Downie, front man of our favourites, the Tragically Hip has passed. Gord fought a very public battle with brain cancer over the past year. He was passionate about hockey, the Boston Bruins & the plight of our Aboriginal people. His poetic lyrics would most closely be comparable to Jim Morrison's, though the bands sounded absolutely nothing alike.
The Tragically Hip has possibly been our finest & most interesting standard rock band of the past 30 years. Their peak fame likely occurred in 1995 when Dan Akroyd (from Kingston, Ontario - the hometown of "The Hip" and also where I went to university) got them a gig on SNL. I saw them live once, on Canada Day fittingly enough. It's baffling to millions of us how they never hit it big in the US like so man of our other performers.
Here's a couple of videos if you have time. The first is (vhs source, terrible quality sorry, but the audio is ok) them performing my favourite song from their catalogue on SNL:

And here's "Ahead by a Century" which makes me tear up every damned time, for no reason I can explain. RIP, Gord.
