Game of Thrones (HBO)

most tv sucks these days, but there are some shining examples of good writing, acting, camera work, etc... we call those Deadwood and Arrested Development. Family Guy sucks ass, though...

Moderators: Batman, Zero, John Madden, Bob Ross, General Zod, Richard Simmons

They pushed it back this year. It usually debuts around Easter.

Not 100 percent sure about season 6 so far. 3 episodes in & 4 airs tonight. I don't know if it's the discomfort of not knowing the broad strokes of what's about to happen, or the fact that most of the plotlines seem to be playing out to the "more expected" conclusions (based on the theorizing I've read anyhow)..... but it seems toned down a notch as far as giddy excitement goes. Maybe tonight will change that.

Conjecture (but if I'm right, it might spoil): Theon is going back to kill that shit stain Ramsay Bolton, and it's going to be painful. And it's going to be glorious. I suspect the hounds, but we'll have to wait & see.

I'm super pissed the Johnny-come-lately TV fans are ahead of the book fans.

I guess I bitched too soon. The ending from last night was both unexpected and fucking awesome. No further comments shall be made.

My only issue with how that whole thing played out is that none of it was very surprising. It was done with dramatic effect, but I think most of us knew who was going to come & save them, and I'm pretty sure I called someone's means of passing a good few weeks ago. Kind of made it less rewarding - I would have preferred him just to have passed from the first thing that happened (the Jon Snow ass whooping). Not going to lie though, seeing the white flag fall over the wall at Winterfell made me a bit misty.

So that was... momentus or something. Quite a number of developments, confirmations & endings of sorts - can't wait to hear what everyone thought.

Is there some requirement that people have to be assholes and spoil this show every chance they get?

I'm way the fuck behind. But I almost feel like there's no point continuing because one cocksucker or another has spoiled everything about this show (and therefore the unwritten books).

Make sure you watch it anyhow, they can spoil the plot but you'll still get the dramatic effect of some of the scenes. A significant chunk of it was telegraphed anyhow, but you still want to see it happen.

Anyone caught up? I'm wondering which way they'll go with something that happened at the end of 7.2.
