When Howe retired, Orr was in the Hall of Fame.

Sure, Bobby Orr had to retire early because of injury, he still played 12 seasons. Gordie Howe played from 1945 to 1980, and that's not counting his one IHL game in 1997 just for the hell of it. He was so bad ass.

Despite the short career, birth to the HOF during another's career is crazy - like Gwen Stefani is older than Ted Cruz crazy.

Those are crazy facts. What else is crazy is how little I'm engaged in sports these days. I haven't watched 1 single NFL or NCAA football game all season, missed the Dodgers winning the world series & only tuned in to the NBA & NHL finals to watch the trophies given out. I just don't give a shit at all.

Sure, the Sabres started 0-2. But NBC got rid of Mike Milbury, and I'm counting that as a win for everyone.

The Sabres played the NJ Devils last weekend. For some reason, the NHL allowed the game to be played, despite possibly knowing that some of the Devils had COVID. By Monday, about 17 of them tested positive. It appears they infected several Sabres during the game. The NHL changed some of the protocols after the game.

There are people in the Erie County government that are talking sending subpoenas to the NHL and the NJ Devils to find out what they knew and when.

So the game between Vegas and Colorado had to be postponed after the 1st period until 9pm (Midnight Eastern) because it's hot and sunny.

In Nevada.

Well, it is up on Lake Tahoe, which is more like being in Colorado. It is a 7 hour drive from here. It is over 6000' above sea level, so it is higher than Denver. I lived in Colorado Springs for a few years, which is also at 6000'. The atmosphere is a bit thinner there and I actually got a sun burn on a cloudy day. When you get that kind of elevation and plus the mountains, weather can get really weird.

NBC had a tribute to Doc Emerick. I didn't know he actually does have a PhD.

I wasn't surprised to see them having ice issues at Lake Tahoe, but it was damned near worth it. What a scene.
