Re: What have you watched lately?
Strange World. This movie is fantastic and amazing and every frame was a visual masterpiece. I’m so glad I watched it on the big screen and I am angry that the rest of the world didn’t go see it and caused it to flop at the box office, which will give it an undeserved patina of failure, because it ...

Re: What have you watched lately?
Planes, Trains, & Automobiles [my phone wanted to autocorrect that to "Autobots"]. Yup, never seen it. But I really quite liked it. Not sure how I avoided a Candy, Martin, and Hughes movie for so long.
Re: MCU Topic
Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special.
Fucking amazing.
Though I'll admit to being mildly let down since I'd heard Adam Warlock would be in it. But only very mildly.

I'm excited.
I'll wager Newsbot is excited, too.

Re: MCU Topic
Wakanda Forever was not what I was expected, but a very good film. Namor is a completely different, but it works.

Re: How I realized I was over Star Wars completely
I think I’ve watched the first 3-4 episodes of Rebels a few times…I just couldn’t get into it. You should try again and make yourself get to the end of Season 1. It flounders a little bit at first, then really gets good toward the end of the first season. By the time you get to Season 3, the introd...

Re: How I realized I was over Star Wars completely
I make no secret of being the biggest Clone Wars naysayer. And I'll still admit the early animation is weak, it absolutely does not work within Legends continuity no matter how hard they tried ("Barriss is a year older than Anakin and died a Knight during Order 66? Fuck that, she's now younger ...

Re: How I realized I was over Star Wars completely
I just posted essentially the same on FB. Unless they royally fuck up the last two episodes, this is going to be the greatest season of Star Wars ever. Ever.

Re: How I realized I was over Star Wars completely
Rebels and Bad Batch (which is essentially Clone Wars Seasons 8+) are both in proper order. There are four Rebels shorts that are listed separately from the main series on D+, and I recommend watching them first.
I would watch Rebels before Bad Batch, personally.

Re: How I realized I was over Star Wars completely
It's all fucked up. There's no mincing words. The official site posted the chronological order. Even Season 7 is out of order as aired. https://www.starwars.com/news/star-wars-the-clone-wars-chronological-episodeorder If you want, the 3D series still fits in the Tartakovsky series, which still mostl...

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?
The books did a marginally fair job of uniting some more obscure Marvel books into the Plus program. Like Brute Force has been retconned as Weapon II. Please, God, tell me that's the goofy team by Furman and Delbo about the battle-armored dolphin and his pals, and not some other character I don't k...

Re: How I realized I was over Star Wars completely
The last four episodes of Clone Wars is some of the best SW ever.
And if you've not seen Season 6, it's basically spackling for all the plot holes of AOTC and ROTS.

Re: What have you watched lately?
Weird . Holy fucking dicknuts, this movie is absolutely bonkers and utterly hilarious. Stop reading this right now and download Roku and watch it. You'll thank me. You'll probably ring my doorbell tomorrow morning and beg to blow me. It's that good. No, it's not as funny as UHF. But, really, what i...
