Re: Football

When I read about Patrick Mahomes $503 Million extension, I literally thought they had missed a decimal point in the title.
Doesn’t signing for that much all but guarantee he’s gonna tear his ACL or something in the next six months?

Re: How I realized I was over Star Wars completely

There are so many versions of the films on DVD, BluRay, etc...are there any versions that have the original Theatrical versions of the original trilogy without all the Special Edition and other assorted tinkering added in?

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?

The Infinity Wars tie-in series. Called “Infinity Warps” because they are mash-ups of two existing characters. Arach-Knight 1-2. A young Peter Parker sees his Aunt and Uncle killed by the Goblin By Night(Green Goblin+ Werewolf by Night). Later he is visited by a Spider Totem that gives him extraordi...

Re: Questions about DC's relaunch

It’s already beginning. Some DC books are already not showing up from Diamond(Young Justice 15 was a no show last week, Flash 754 got skipped entirely and didn’t know until 755 and 756 came out) or coming out of order(Batman/Outsiders 13 showed up last week, issue 12 came out this week). Detective a...

Should we start a spinoff of CDP where we try to guess which celebrity is gonna get accused of sexual impropriety next?

Re: Celebrity Death Pool!

Joel Schumacher, after a year long battle with cancer. He was 80. His Batman & Robin is one of the most reviled comic films ever, but I’m sorry he never got a chance to redeem himself. I think he could have made an excellent Batman flick if he had chosen to not lean into the camp of the 60s show.

Re: Top Summer Film of 2020

Honest question; when all the theater chains reopen and they’re all requiring masks in order to go to the movies, how are you supposed to eat popcorn and drink your soda pop if you’re wearing a mask? And if you’re moving your mask everytime you take a sip or shove a handful of popcorn or candy into ...

Re: Watchmen

This is free on Hulu right now. I don’t know for how long, so I’m gonna binge it this weekend. I am unfortunately watching it knowing all the “twists” because CBR is a spoiler filled cesspool rife with clickbait article titles that gave away pretty much everything. But we will see if it still holds ...

Ian Holm, died after a long battle with Parkinson’s. He was 88. Obviously he’s best known as Bilbo Baggins and also the evil Android Ash in the original Alien movie. But if you want to watch his best performance, go watch Atom Egoyan’s The Sweet Hereafter. It’s a haunting performance that has stuck ...

Re: Batman Begins: The best superhero film of all time

At this point, Snyder has had to explain more of the narrative of his films after the fact than was presented in the films themselves. This is known in the vernacular as ‘shitty storytelling’. Someone: “So what about this plot hole?” Snyder: “Oh that’s not a plot hole. We didn’t show it the movie bu...
