Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?

The last issue I think I read was in ‘The War of Jokes and Riddles’ arc, so I’m about 50 issues behind. Plus, y’know, ALL the other 15 Batman ongoings from Detective on down. So really I’m about 2,000 issues behind. Does DC publish anything without Batman in it anymore? Even their bad guys are just ...

Who is that? I feel like I should know who that is, but I can’t seem to recall anything about him at all...

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?

Hmmmph. Over already? We can’t have nice things. Uncanny Avengers 25-30. Rogue’s Unity Squad closed up their series after HydraCap disbanded the team and ‘fired’ all of them. 25 was a Secret Empire issue where they fought a giant eldritch demon while trapped in the dark dimension dome over NYC. 26-2...

Re: LEGO!

Got the Passenger Train today. And if you spent $200 you got a free reversible tote bag (which was very nice) so I threw the People Pack into my order. But that only got me to $199.98 so I tossed that little astronaut pack in also. I had never seen the ‘action figure’ peg packs before. It looks nift...

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?

Some assorted Avengers ongoings. A-Force 8. The issue I was missing from its 10 issue run. Part of Civil War II. Dazzler correctly calls Capt Marvel out on her preemptive arrest bullshit, and then immediately after, Carol tries to detain Nico for a future murder of someone she’s never met, which set...

House of X 2. Don’t think we didn’t notice Life #6 is conspicuously absent from your story, Hickman. What are you up to, you magnificent bastard?
Also, didn’t Moira die from the Legacy Virus? That makes so much more sense now.

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?

Back to the “A” pile! But first, we catch up on the ongoing Star Wars books. Star 67-69. Keiron Gillen finished his SW run with issue 67. He had written the first Vader ongoing, a majority of the Aphra series, and stepped in when Jason Aaron left the main series, so he’s been doing Marvel’s SW since...

Re: atomic robo

As you know, I’m reading my ‘A’ box right now and I’m up to Atomic Robo’s Last 3 or 4 minis. I felt like there was a point between them leaving Red5 and starting at IDW where they were doing online comics and I didn’t know how many they had done and if or where they had been physically published. An...

Re: LE

Daughter was helping her mother clean out their basement. She brought home these two giant ass totes full of Legos. We get to sort thru them and try to organize them into their original sets(I’ll post a pic of the instructions later on, there’s a fuckton) Sadly, I don’t get to keep all of them, but ...

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?

I didn’t realize Scarlet had ended. Those five issues I found earlier this year were the entire run? So I have inadvertently collected that entire run across two publishers without meaning to. Did it have a proper finale or did it just get canned due to low sales?

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?

Also this week I got Venom Annual #1, which will go nicely with the Venom Annual #1 I got LAST YEAR... The Friendly Neighborhood Spidey issue I got was all scuffed to shit. And there were only two copies and one of them was the “Venomized” variant cover I didn’t want, so I had to get the only regula...

Re: So, What comics did you buy this week?

Powers of X 1. I still haven't read either last week's or this week's - almost like I'm scared to be disappointed or something. Now over $8.50 for one new comic with bag & board in Canada. :frus: They’ve both been good. He’s setting up the macro-story much like he did in Avengers. One thing I n...

Re: Big score........

They were in color. It was two random one shots. One in 1996, the other in 1997. I don’t know if they were old inventory scripts, or if they had leftover art from a bunch of old books or if it had something to do with ‘Heroes Reborn’ or what. Because it was a jam session of a bunch of different arti...
