Re: Big score........

But you had to enter it all manually I guess was more what I was thinking. Lot of fucking work! I usually have a piece of scrap paper with my "hot list" of stuff I want right now, but they always get left at home or lost and I have to eyeball it at the store. Good thing, my ocd is usually...

Re: Big score........

Nice. How on earth do you keep track of what you have & what you need? Phone app? It's not a Comic-specific app. It's called iDo Notepad. I have like a dozen notepads listed DC A-J DC K-Z DC Batman (every Bat ongoing, mini, oneshot, as well as 'Family' titles like Catwoman, Nightwing, Robin, et...

Re: Marvel Universe

More books from the 'A-B' box. Mostly Avengers related stuff. After this, everything left in the box is DC; Aquaman, Azrael, and LOTS of Batman. But here's the Marvel stuff. Astonishing Tales 1-6. A 2009 anthology series that printed a bunch of digital-first stories. There were four stories in each ...

Re: DCU : The Original Universe

Also from the 'A-B' box Adam Strange. 8 issue series from 2004. Andy Diggle reintroduced the space hero. His adoptive planet of Rann "explodes" and his wife and child are dead, but Strange isn't buying it, so he investigates and discovers somebody heisted the entire world with a giant Zeta...

Re: Marvel Universe

The next random box I picked was the 'A-B' box. I started out with All Winners Squad: Band of Heroes which was an 8-issue mini series from 2011 that was unceremoniously cancelled after issue 5 with absolutely no wrap up or conclusion. It was the story of a bunch of Golden Age heroes during WWII in a...

Re: Fantastic Four.

The last of the FF stuff Fantastic Five. This spun out of the Spider-Girl comic that became the MC2 sub-universe. Books like Avengers Next, J2(son of Juggernaut), DarkDevil, and this 5 issue series. Johnny Storm leads the FF along side Lyja, A grown up Franklin, Reed's brain in a HERBIE bot, and cyb...

Re: Fantastic Four.

Here's some more FF reading I did over the past week or two. FF Unlimited 9-12. The last four issues of the Quarterly series from the mid-90s. Famous for having Herb Trimpe artwork that aped Liefeld's style. It's heinous. It might even be worse than Rob's. If that's possible. Also the writing by Roy...

Re: Big score........

Went to another show today. Visited 10 different tables. Some had books for a buck, some for 50 cents, and some for a quarter. I spent about $95 on 201 books, so it evened out to about 50 cents an issue. Here's what I got. Alice in Wonderland 1-3. Part of Zenoscope's Grimm Fairy Tales line of books....

Re: Fantastic Four.

I read a large portion of John Byrne's FF run over the last week or so. First off, I never realized how long he was on the book. He started as artist only in 1980. Eventually he took over writing as well and stayed on the series until 1986. It's like 75 straight issues, most of them he wrote, drew a...

Re: Famous/Semi-Famous people in your family tree. And geneo

Yeah, I do know the difference. I would have referred to the south end of North America as hicksville :p The south end of North America would be Mexico. ;) Southern Virginia to northern Florida out to Arkansas and Lousiana are southerners. "Hicksville" can be found anywhere. There are hic...

Re: Famous/Semi-Famous people in your family tree. And geneo

There's a vast difference between South America and casual reference to 'over here in the South'. 'The South' refers to thems under the Mason-Dixon line what lost the Civil War and hate black people and progress like giving minorities voting rights and gay marriage. They tend to fuck their own cousi...

Re: Marvel Universe

It's been awhile. I started the 'E thru F' box. Just to note the difference with a book I'm enjoying and one I'm not, I started reading the Earth X maxiseries trilogy by Alex Ross, Jim Krueger, and artist John Paul Leon. The two subsequent maxiseries Universe X and Paradise X were by Krueger and art...
